Our December Buildapalooza, held at John McGrath Pavillion in Como, was another great get-together for Pluggers.
Keen for a last pre-Christmas catch-up, we enjoyed a huge turnout of builders, chatters and parts drafters.
It was great to see some new LEGO on the night. We were treated to Amy’s new sneakers, John brought in a sneak peak of the upcoming Modular Police Station and Mark brought in the under-construction very new Colosseum.
December saw an experimental parts draft of 12x 31109 Creator 3 in 1 pirate ships. We usually have pluggers bring in a pre-determined set to add to the draft. This month the group pre-purchased 12 sets and pluggers bought into a limited number of places. The elements were parted out and a keen group took turns to gather elements for adding to their parts haul at home.
The night also saw the live draw of our new monthly raffle. 100 tickets were sold to be in the running for a 10270 creator bookstore. Our winner this month, was the very pleased with her prize, Elisabeth! Well done Elisabeth!
Our door prize, a 21319 FRIENDS Central Perk set, was won by a very happy Lyn.
Other raffle prizes, all kindly donated by PerthLUG members, were won by, Peter (who snuck away without a photo), Judy, Maxine and Helena.
It was a great night, and nice to see my LEGO friends again before Christmas. Looking forward to seeing you all again and new faces in January.
