Everyone is Awesome!
Here at the Perth lego Users Group we come together on every second Monday of the month to talk Lego, build Lego and generally share in this hobby that we all love. Our build nights are inclusive of all and we are proud of all our wonderful members. It was so amazing to see such a great turnout Monday night – especially so given it’s Pride Month!
Entry to Buildapalooza is just $5 and included is your chance to win a wonderful door prize. Each month we have something different and this time we gave away the Star Wars set 75334 Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. Darth Vader. Congratutlations to James – your set will find its way to you soon! James couldn’t be there on the night but one of the perks of paid membership is inclusion into the door prize even if you can’t attend – looks like that memebership just paid off for you mate!

Once again, Ben is back to keep everyone in line with the wonderful Parts draft. This is where participants have the opportunity to take home some great parts in actually useful quantities. Something for the MOC builders and honestly a pretty exciting experience I recommend everyone to have a go at for themselves at some point. This months set participants voted on the Icons Dried Flower Centrepiece and I can only imagine the hauls people took home from that one! Want to get involved? Follow our Facebook page for the finer details and find out which set to bring next month and have a go yourself.

Between the Parts Draft, the door prize raffle and the good ol’ chats, some of us actually build some Lego if you can believe it! Spotted by roving reporters, Sue-Anne and Dale, builds included an exquisite little Lambo Speed Champions set, Doug’s Tales of the Space Age and G’s modification of the Land Rover. Trust me, this is but a small sample of what was on show!

We also had the great pleasure of hosting The Lego Grandmasters trophy and one of its deserving owners Owen for the night. Owen and fellow former contestant G were so gracious with their time and sufferred all our selfie demands. Even Richie couldn’t help himself with a cheeky photobomb. To be fair, we all did!

The excitement doesn’t end there of course – this Saturday June 17th at 1-5pm is our Lugbulk sorting day for those already signed up. The amount of Lego going home with members will be extraordinary. Buildapalooza will also be back next month on the second Monday as usual – that’s the 10th of July at our regular time and place; 7-11pm at John McGrath Pavilion off Hensman st, Como. Absolutely all are welcome and we can’t wait to see you there!
