Well here we are, Part 2 of our 2023 Habitat Build entries, and boy oh boy, there are some absolute cracking builds in here. It looks likely that we’ve managed to rope in a guest judge, none of that Cassandra Wilson who runs the B-Shed Builds exhibition down in Fremantle. Good luck Cassandra, you’re gonna need it!
Lets get into it, shall we?
Krista Gecko and her friend Alex!
Krista’s build aims to remind us that we are all human, we all deserve love, and we all deserve respect. Right on! She also sent us a build from one of her friends, Alex, which she has succinctly titled “ADHD in a nutshell”.

James Lucas
“Attack of the Weredragons” by James Lucas is fantasy heavy and heavy on the awesome. Those Dragon suit minifigs are so damn good, and perfectly used in this vignette. Fire AND Lightning? Hell yeah!

Narelle Hickey
A excellent collection of builds from Narelle, a fishing trip featuring (what I think is) an attack from a pesky seagull, a swim up bar (that’s just not fair, I NEED a holiday!) and a stone giant with some of the best parts usage Ive ever seen, it looks great!

Mike Davies
A cunning ploy by Mike to do a build using minifigs from one of my recent favorite themes, Galaxy Squad! The portal going from one habitat to the other is such a great idea. Benny ain’t too happy by the looks of things! A little medieval to round out his submissions, and if I’m not mistaken, that’s Two Ball Tony!

And just because I can, here is some of Mike and Narelle’s habitats all neatly stacked up. Soooo good!

Jennifer Coggin
Where to begin with this epic submission. 6 different habitats, all themed around being in a museum, and every of them amazing in its own right. The details are great, and the finished and stacked builds look absolutely fantastic. AND there’s more to come from Jennifer, in tomorrows post, so keep an eye out for that.

Trey Whitford (14, submitted by his dad, Matt)
The now classic scene, in Lego form. Hes got the high ground Anakin, and you know it! Great job Trey!

And there’s still more to go, but you’re gonna have to come back tomorrow to see those!
